Aria is promised to Luca when she’s 15 and married at 18. I think that’s what I really appreciated about this book, the rawness of it.

Make it gritty, raw, and a touch dark and I’m all over it.

Because this book was totally right up my alley. But I’m certainly kicking myself for it now. It just didn’t entice me to read her earlier books. Then I tried a few of her other recent releases, and felt much the same way. I first tried Cora’s books Twisted Pride and was left….a touch underwhelmed.
